Default Adding a PTO Relay
I was thinking of adding a relay into the PTO circuit on my 1541. Any reason not to do it? I searched the forum and could not find a thread on this.

Hi, i have not used a relay. When i put a ch18 in a 682 i gave it it's own circuit. I got juice from an amp gauge and gave it it's own fuse and switch. Mike

The PTO coil doesn't pull enough amps to warrant a relay. Besides, it already has a relay.

The reason I was thinking of a relay is that I thought that several things were running through the switch at full power. The PTO, lights, and electric fuel pump. But a quick look at the wiring diagram shows that indeed there is a relay in line. In addition the current to the PTO does not go through the switch at all. So thanks to the group here I saved myself a lot of unneeded work.
