A Cub with a 1.6L NA diesel or Turbo Diesel would be pretty cool, but I have not done it.

there is a compact diesel puller out there
Hes "saying" he has 400 HP. from a tdi vw.
I own a vw tdi. Have it modified and talk to many pro racers that run them the MOST HP out of a tdi from the crank be @ 280ish tops but the engine will only last for a few moments. I sent this data over to a top tdi tech at www.kermatdi.com and he laughed so hard.

He may be stating HP to weight ratios too.
Anyways. to me its blasphemy to hear a tdi making 400 hp I emailed the guy and got no response.

I have put in 3 clutches in my tdi, and at 200 k miles and strong as ever. They are easy to work on and dont see it being a huge under taking to put one on a modified frame. Problem is tdi, new used, or Junkyard your going to pay a pretty penny for. good luck to those who try. You will have something to be very proud of.

I saw a 184 lo-boy on ebay for sale with a 4-cylinder vw rabbit engine. It was pretty cobbled up, but it looked neat.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
