Hello Cub Cadet only Forum members
I have owned a few nice Cubs over the years, including a SGT 1862 with a 60" Haban deck, and a 3 cyl gas Kubota. Great tractor, done what ever I needed it to. Yesterday I purchased a 2008 GT3100 with a 54" deck and a huge snow Blower too. Seems to have been well kept came with tire chains and weights too. I found a hydraulic blade for it last night hope I can get that today as a snowblower is a bit more than what I need but I really like the tractor seems to be very sound and not beat up at all. Just kind of hope that thru this site I can learn more about this tractor and its ability's. I am retired and just needed a good machine for pushing snow and mowing the yard. The blower was only used a handful of times and it shows well. Anyways I live in Michigan and want to get good use out of it.

Resident 3000 guy all right
I got lucky today I found a ad said cub blade 54" $225 cash I took a ride over seemed this guy bought the blade to try and put on his 4 wheeler. Well it turned out to be a model 191-353-100 54" hydraulic lift snow blade fit on my 3100 like a glove man What a deal. I just bought this GT3100 and it came with a 54" deck weights and tire chains and a 48" snowblower thats only been used 6to8 times since new in 2008. Well I am gonna put that beast up for sale cause shes just to big to be in my garage but I really lucked out on the snow blade and it came complete ready to hook up I had it on in 20 minutes. I also enjoyed mowing the yard one last time before winter with it really a good smooth machine.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
