IIRR but not sure, I think you can go to the new aluminum housings with replaceable taper roller bearings.
I did it on my 50A & 50C decks. You might find a set of good used housings and the bearings are common outer GM wheel bearings LM11949 & LM 11910. Correct me if I'm wrong.

George, where did you get them from? Saw some in the primline catalog I thought might work if I ever need t replace the ones On my 44a deck.

I agree with George.. find a later set of alum housings used and replace the bearings.. it works out great!
