Is there any way this could be a #2 tiller? I thought the 1A tiller was for the narrow frames?

The NF or WF distinction is based on the "front" of the tractor. The IH Cub cadets had ALL the same rear end. Thus a 1, 1A, or 2 will fit on all IH built NF & WF tractors.

And the #2 tiller did not have bolt on extensions.

Oh ok. I do not know much about the tillers. I guess with tiller would fit a 782D than right with aluminum rear end?
