K301 into a 108, HELP
Well I'm new to the whole Cub Cadet pulling thing. I bought a 108 that was shot then I realized there are very few hooks for a 10HP tractor in my area so I bought a K301 and had it rebuilt. When I attempted to put the 301 in the tractor I discovered that the protrusion in the oil pan to accommodate the oil dipper hit on the front axle. Is there an easy solution to this problem? Is my 301 from an application other than Cub Cadet? I'm not the sharpest at this stuff so I may be missing something.
Did International make different chassis' for the different models of tractors? I assumed the chassis' were all the same then had different components installed. Any help is appreciated. |

A K301 should be a direct bolt in if the engine is for an IH Cub Cadet.
Can you post a picture or 2? Can you tell us what the spec number is? Is the protrusion as you call it towards the flywheel end?

I told you I was new to this.....
I was attempting to install it PTO side to the back. Looks like it's going to settle right in there where it belongs. Thanks for the speedy reply
