First, welcome to OCC.......

Next, it is a 16HP "Lawn" tractor. It is a 1988 model 1620.

If all you are going to do is mow lawn, it one of the better Lawn Tractors.

Yeah just cutting some grass.
Good price imo, just wanted a second opinion before looking at it in case this was one of the ones that really shouldn't have ever been made sort of ordeal...
Thanks!

i did get a chance to look at it first, but no i didnt take it.
When i went to check it out and hooked my jumper box up to it, turned the key on and nothing. Hit the light switch, the dash showed "full throttle needed for start" or something like that was lite up, i ensured it was all the way up, i was sitting in the seat and she was in neutral, wont turn over. I did ensure it had oil in it and put a little fresh gas in it but she wouldnt turn over at all. i passed on it...
when i got home i was thinking maybe there was a rod that needed to be moved like for an ebrake or for pushing it around but oh well, sigh, hopefully i'll come across another in the next month or so

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
