V belt ID
I have a V belt, CC 764-3042(C?).
I can't find a way to cross reference this number in the CC site or Parts Tree. The best I have been able to do is search and get a message that there's no match for that number. I tried searches for: 764-3042 764-3042C 964-3042 964-3042C I also checked belts for 42", 44" and 48" PTO on a 1641 tractor. Any help? |

Looks like you need to make sure it is the number you posted. Is it a new belt? 754-3042 is a cub cadet number

It is a lightly used belt and the number is very legible. If you found the number, what does it reference to or is there a source that can ID application?

Looks like the 754-3042 is the mule belt for the 46" mower.

Thanks Shrewcub for the ID. I haven't used a 46" deck in three years so I didn't bother to look at that deck because of that and because I couldn't get CC to ID the mistaken part number I posted. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
