Default Pre-production 1200 and more

While going through all the things that pile up in a shed, I've unearthed two tractors and related accessories. Neither has been started in over a year. I signed up here thinking about restoring them, but my greater goal is to be getting rid of projects.
The 1200 was bought used from the son of an IH Engineer and is supposedly a pre-production model that was given to him in recognition for his work. I know it has problem with the PTO.
The 1250 was running rough, not sure on other issues.
44A mower deck, snow blade and thrower.
I would especially like the 1200 to find a good home, but am at a loss for the monetary value for it. Everything is located about 40 miles West of Chicago.

If you can document that the 1200 is pre production it will probably enhance the value to a collector. If not it's just a 1200.

Do you have an up close pic of the serial number tag on the 1200?

I recall seeing a photocopy of a "letter of appreciation" from IH to the engineer but it is not with the manual or service records. I guess unless that shows up, I'll treat it as a tagless 1200.

Thanks!

It does not have a tag. I took a partial of the engine serial. Are there any other frame pieces that might be of helpful?

Was the frame ever drilled for the rivets that held the tag on?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
