I'll do better than posting a photo. Here is the link to the auction where I bought it (hope its allowed). So you can see exactly what I got. The holes in the bracket I got don't really line up with my CC. But I would rather have the sturdy dual one from Xtreme anyway. Thanks!

And.... there it is.

The seller listed his information very incorrectly. That is the lift off of a wide frame for like a 1450. The tractors he listed were not even available with a sleeve hitch. You need a different lift bar (long rod that attaches to the lift system). That's why the hole is the wrong size. Also, the bend in the rod will likely be in the way. Should be straight. However, xtreme also sells that. Buy the '82 series lift bar. Then go to a local hardware store or TSC (whatever is available to you and get a 3" clevis pin. Then you should be good to go.

When you order the lower bracket, make sure to get it for an aluminum rear with the ears that bolt to the axle.

You way overpaid for that hitch BTW .... and now you have to buy more parts.

I would do the same, the guy either had no idea what he was selling or he misrepresented his parts.

Send it back and I'll sell you one that doesn't fit for much less than what you paid.

I appreciate all the advice. Compared to other offers, I did pay a little more than what seemed to be the going price. But it is working. I picked up a 3" clevis pin from Lowes which works great. They had a spacer exactly like the one that goes at the rear of the bar. I put that in there and it holds the clevis just right. So now the whole thing goes up and down perfectly with the manual lever. And just in the right positions. The only "snag" is that I had to remove one of the mounting bolts for the height indicator. Because as the lift bar moves back, it comes down at an angle and hits the bolt head. With that removed there are no problems whatsoever. So I just need to come up with a way to solve that. Would be alot cheaper than just getting another bar.

Only thing left is the rear hitch bracket and sleeve hitch adapter. I'll post pics when I get this thing finished. Looking forward to trying out a plow.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
