Default 124, 127, 682 and parts

So, about a year ago I stumbled upon this guy with some old Cub Cadets.
I went and talked to him, but ended up not buying anything.
I went back this weekend and talked again. He's ready to sell and wants it all gone.
Everything has been under cover for many years.
He's got multiple decks, a NOS deck shell, misc parts, etc.
No implements
He has a complete 124, 127, and 682
The 124 has some type of box on the back of it, no headlights.
The 127 has a rear lift, no headlights.
Not sure about the 682.
Nothing runs.
One of the parts tractors has a hydraulic pump on it.
I was in a rush when I went and I didn't get pics of it all, but here are a few that I have.
I am basically going with a 20 ft trailer and getting any/all of his old Cub Cadet stuff.
What's a fair price for both parties?
Thanks!

I'd say $800-$1000 for all of it would be a good deal for both of you. Non-running, they aren't worth much. Some good options there, and sounds like he has some parts. With only 3 pics you posted, that's the best I can do. Others may not agree.

That sounds good to me. I agree, not running, he cannot expect more than that.

If I can get them for $800-1000, is there still some meat on the bone for me if I start selling stuff?
I don't have the room to keep them all and I'd like to get the parts to people that need them.

If I can get the complete tractors running, what can I expect from them?

Thanks again!

i am not sure what they are bringing in your area, but I would offer something lower to start out with. You can go up but you cannot go down. It is hard to say what they are worth. The prices vary on the location. I would offer him 500 to start with if he will not set a price. I bought a 1811 a few years back. The owner would not set a price, I was thinking 500.00 but did not say it out loud. We talked a few more minutes and I finally got him to price it. He said well I would like to get at least 300.00, then I said ok that sounds good, lets load it up.

A hydraulic lift pump unit just recently sold on EBAY for around $435 + shipping, if that helps. I enlarged the photos and did not see a rip in either seat (now, I am not there looking at it and my view is quite limited), but I also did not notice a lot of rust on the 104 or 127. If they are in that nice of shape, then you should not have a problem firing them up with some carb rebuilds. With the decks and parts you described, I figure that you should have no problem pulling $600-$700 in my area for them, possibly more. Of course, if getting the engines fired isn't always the end of it.....they could be smokers and not be diesels, so somewhere around $500-$650 might be an amicable arrangement for both of you. If you are worried about your profit margin and he is a friend of yours, then you could try to resell them for him for a percentage of the profits. Others have made some good points and geographic location does play a big rile in your market. Seems like someone said cubs were hard to find in your area, but you would be a better judge of that.

I'm going Sunday to get all of it.
If anyone is looking for parts or tractors, I'll be sure to post in the classifieds section with all that I'm selling.
Thanks.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
