Loaded up and heading out tomorrow to go level and grade a yard for a friend.
Got the disk harrow, scratcher harrow and the box blade loaded up. The old 128 and me will get a workout all day!

Nice looking rig. Good luck with the tillage. You must be alot dryer than we are right now. Might get stuck with that here. Burned up/dry summer and now the fall is a sopping wet mess.

Love the 128, that's normally what we mow with at my house. Dang that's a lot of harrow, a 128 handle it OK? If you can get some action shots/finished results. Reminds me of a few weeks back when a buddy's son-in-law borrowed his early Cadet (think its a 102) and a mule drawn harrow adapted to Cadet duty. He carried it to disc up the infield to get ready for fall Little League baseball. I thought it was kind of funny taking a 50 year old setup into a rather upscale League.

Thanks for the comments guys! Me and the 128 worked hard today... Job turned out great though!
My right arm and shoulder will be sore tomorrow! That manual Sears lift takes alot of muscle power with that heavy harrow!

That 128 is one of my favorites... it's simple, has plenty of power, and always cranks and runs perfect even with very little attention. My dad built that harrow to pull behind a 100 in the late 60's! It works awesome! He took two Sears harrows and built a frame for the two sets of gangs. It does a beautiful job of leveling when you lower the drag on your last several passes. Believe it or not with water in the tires and about 100 lbs of wheel weights that 128 will drag the harrow all the way to the axles in soft dirt! We have a 1450 with a hydraulic lift and 10.50 tires that handles it a smidge better (easier on the right arm also)... but it's down for a cork seal and trunion repair at the moment. That is a funny story about the mule harrow and the 102! I bet it worked well!... sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
