I've seen the 1440 for sale, but this is the first time I've seen it for trade...
Since we don't know the situation, I'm going with the thought that the guy already has something to cut his grass with and is just jammed up for money and needs a Christmas gift for his kid. I've also seen the other two, I hope they sell them for their asking prices, it just makes my stuff worth more and more all the time.

But...the 1200 has the super rare yellow cutting edge on the blade, and the 102 is the ultra rare IH red and white version. I think those were the "demonstrator" models.

There's some good ones on clist. I sent Jon some links the other week. You look around St. Louis you'll find several that are wacky prices.

Maybe he inherited it, and it's just "not his thing". Or the "war department" said:
"get rid of some of your toys, before you buy something else"

Glad I command the "war department" in my house. You guys who don't are wimps. Sad and true.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
