Default Snow blade for 2518?

I am interested in a snow plow for my 2518 . I have a good Ariens snowblower for heavy and big snow but want something to quickly clean up smaller snowfall. I know there is the $300 MTD plow (http://www.homedepot.com/p/MTD-Genui...A&gclsrc=aw.ds - not sure if this fits), the $750 Cub Cadet factory plow (190-302-100), and the $1400 Jonny Jr plow with another $400 to get the bucket. Any thoughts as to what is the best choice , or other suggestions?

I don't know how much use I really have for the bucket so hard to justify the $1800 full Johnny Jr setup.

Here is a 2000 series plow on C-list in MD
http://baltimore.craigslist.org/grd/5887709336.html

This one is in Becket MA with wheel weights and chains
http://westernmass.craigslist.org/grd/5852996627.html

Just look on C-List, type "Cub Cadet snow plow" in the search box.

does anyone know if http://www.sears.com/craftsman-lawn-...w.ds#Imagezoom will fit?

Or https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Parts.../dp/B0006OC5AI

Or http://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/pro...FUZLDQodB5QOAA

I don't see any of the original Cub Cadet kits close by to me on craigslist.

None of these are bolt on plows. Can you make one fit, sure if you have a welder and other metal working tools. Last time I checked Mass wasn't all that far from VT.

Wish you all the best in your search.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
