Correct steering wheel cap for a 100
Tried the sponsors, eBay, other cub cadet parts sellers and can only find the one that is for the 1x4 1x5 series. If I have to get one of those I will, but would rather have the one specific to the 100. Thanks

I think you can get the decal that go inside the cap.
http://www.redoyourhorse.com/interna...ing-cap-decal/ Plain caps are sold by other parts sellers. Never saw pics of your 100, got any?

The TC-103 Parts Catalog (70 & 100) dated 2-63 shows only the steering wheel same as used on the Original for both models. 376176-R1
The TC-103 Rev 2 Parts Catalog (70 & 100) dated 2-64 shows 385734-R1 - Steering wheel for Model 100 385735-R1 - Steering wheel cap for Model 100 385736-R1 - Retainer, steering wheel cap for Model 100 Model 70 still used the 376176-R1 steering wheel. I have seen many 100's with both styles and don't know when the change was made. I would be interested to know what the correct decal for the cap looked like. |

Mr lew, thanks, that is exactly what I am looking for. Got one pic on my phone of the 100 tucked away in the cub den. Got too many bota projects in there. The 100 is in good shape, has sleeve hitch and I got a creeper gear for it. I think it has low hours on it

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
