50C decals?
Hopefully in the next day or two, I can get my 50C mowing deck cleaned and painted. Even though this is a working machine, I'd like to put on some new decals. Did a quick search and only found one place listing them and the photo was actually for a 48. I've emailed them but given the holidays, don't know when to expect a reply. Does anyone here know for certain that decals can be bought? I'm assuming they are probably the same as other decks except the width decal. My better half does a bit of crafting and makes decals to decorate things. I'm thinking she could possibly make that decal for me. I guess need to be real sweet and ask.

If you find them, I would be interested in a set if they are not to expensive.

Contact Maple Hunter decals out of Texas. They don't show a set for the 50C, but I have a hard time believing they have never made a set. They make decals for everything else.

Much to my surprise I have already heard form Cub Cadet Specialties and he does have them for a 50C in stock.
I used to use Hunter 20 years ago when they barely carried anything, mainly 30-50's era tractors. Somehow we quit painting stuff, too time consuming I guess. This mower deck NEEDS paint bad under the belt cover area--all rust. I'll just paint the whole thing including the mule drive.

Update---I cannot find repro or original decals for the newer 50c decks built by CCC. The warning decals are different and obviously no IH decal is used. Been searching for pics of 50c decks that would have come with an 1811 or similar vintage machine, not having much luck. My better half ordered me some white ink-jet decal paper today. If I can get some decent pics I'll see if I can print a set of decals. Guessing I'll need to clear coat them for durability?
Wish I would have known all these before I destroyed my decals. In my defense, I was told by a retailer they were available, he just didn't realize what he had was for IH era machines.

I dunno John. Since your going to use it to mow and not show, I think I'd just paint it and forget the decals.

Should be easy enough to do, If I can get decent pics. I just realized the burnt 1810 I bought has a 44 deck, I can probably get the warning decals from it. This is more of a small project than a necessity. I know one other member is hunting the same decals for a similar project.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
