They don't come up for sale down here very often either. Four years ago Deere had them listed on their site in the $625 range. I guess lack of demand caused Brinly to stop production.

Jim Dimmerling was the builder of Wizard Plows but when I contacted him 4 years ago he wasn't building any more. They say his plows are built very well and plow great. Here are 2 of his plows.

Does anyone make parts to build your own now?

A couple years ago at PA plow day the Amish were asking me a lot of questions about the cost and demand for the plows they were talking about producing them. I never heard anymore about it. The last ones i saw they were asking $375.00 for one in original condition.

The shares are still available from Brinly, but you may have to call them.
Talked to one of their reps at Beaver Dam last summer.
He said the 10" shares would be available for a few more years but when the patent agreement runs out that will likely be the end of them.
I bought two 10" shares and one 12" share last summer from them.
Not cheap!

I finished up the plow yesterday. Now it goes up for sale or I might wait and take it to plow day, seems some one is always looking for one. Now the price is the question. These seem to be more scarce now than the past few years. One just sold on ebay for $305 in original condition and one currently listed for $385 without a coulter wheel.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
