That 1000 looks like a nice tractor. It is good that you are able to get them save them and preserve them.

Yes, the Quiet line is a great tractor! last of the "true" IH Cub Cadets in my opinion, and a base fro all Cub Cadet garden tractors to follow! There were many up grades from the former Wide frame series, one being the "Z" pattern in the forward/reverse dash that prevented a sudden reverse when slowing down the ground speed.

The ISO engine mount system was a great idea that IH borrowed from their larger IH tractors. It's that the bad ISO reputation comes from a combination of poor engine cradle design, a cheep engine oil pan, and a whole lot of operator neglect.

Good luck on the treatment for the fever, but it's a little like herpes (only better). You can treat it but it never really goes away (so I hear...).

Not yet. Got her home Saturday night. Took her off the trailer Sunday and put her to work along with my recently acquired 1250, mowing my 2 acre lawn. Then I got out the bbq and grilled some ribeye steaks for our Father's day dinner.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
