99% positive I have seen pics of it done. I want to say it was detailed on OCC. I'm sure someone will be along shortly with details.

That is pretty slick. I would probably shorten the lower bar a little title more though. |

NOW,,, someone needs to convert it to a TWO pedal foot control.
Once you use a hydro with separate pedals for forward and reverse,, you can not consider a one pedal. Keep your heel on the floorboard, and simply swing your ankle between the pedals. With a 1 pedal dual control,,, you are constantly holding your foot in the air. From looking at this one, I think you would only need one more rotating shaft,, and a connecting link. |

The two pedal control is the way to go. I think you could use the pedals from a 3000 series Cub. The linkages could be modified to work on earlier Cubs.

I bought a 1864, it's just grown from there. The Cubs have replaced old Chevys as my hobby/passion. The only car I have left is a '67 Chevelle wagon. Seems like a good trade off. I can put five Cubs where one car sat and there are no titles or license to fool with! Tim |

I have attempted to do this to 1812. My approach has been to disconnect the factory tie rod ends and leave everything else intact. I've had it all working but my rtn wasn't working right. And it worked great until throttle up. Then it would stick on fed high till I hit the brake. I did 2 seperste pedals and used springs at the pedals for rtn. I got burned out and put it back to factory. But I think when I work on it again I'll try rtn springs at the linkage on the pump.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
