then decided to make the table short, or, not much overhang. Total table length will be 5 feet or less. Does the plastic wood get hotter than regular wood? |

Some PVC decking does get hotter than wood. Also keep in mind some brands (Azek) had issues fading rather quickly. I'm not sure which brand you're thinking of using.

The yard only carried the best (probably why they went out of business??) so, we will find out if it fades. I only paid about 1/2 what regular wood cost,, Hmmmmm,, |

The bolts came in the mail today,,,
Luckily, I could back the trailer in the shed, and work on the table. Shade was really welcome today,,, Now,, I gotta see if I have enough material to build my daughter a garden picnic table. At first glance, the table seems too high, but, then the height starts to grow on you. It is a convenient height to use whether you are sitting,, or standing. The bench is 22" off the ground. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
