I ordered mine on 08/27/17 and FedEx delivered it today. 12 days and $44.00 to my door, not too shabby. I'll get some pics and update how it works in my 982.

Ordered mine last week when i posted. still have yet to see it. Any chance you know what to set the dip switches to? I wonder if you can set them to run off of starter gen engines using the coil. similar to how Kirk Engines tachs work.

It was not the case with my 1650 tachometer but I already knew that and after I take a good look at the diagram I substitute one resistor for a 10 turn 1/4W potentiometer, now it's accurate but who really need a RPM on a garden tractor? For what purpose? For me it's was just a fun totally useless project but it may look cool on my walk behind snow blower. A simple rule...Keep the gauges and diagnostic tools on the bench or in the toolbox. For mowing and snow blowing a good beer holder is all you need

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
