Default Weird cut

I've been using an XTL1050 with a kohler engine for about 7 years now. I've never liked the way it mows. I sharpen my blades twice a mowing season, once int the late spring and once end of summer. I use two different sets of blade as I have some dedicated for the beggar that I only use in the early spring and fall.
Making a cut typically is only about 1/2 of the deck and the depth is about an inch to an inch and a half. The lever on the mower never is set to below the third stop from the top. I mow back and forth so the cut repeats in a different direction.
I get a seam of grass in the middle about two thirds higher then edge. I know the blades are installed correctly. The deck is attached correctly. Tire pressure is consistent on all 4 wheels.
What's Wrong?

I would say aftermarket blades that are too short or your deck is bent causing one spindle to run out of "square" (not perpendicular to the ground). Did you buy this mower new? If so there is probably nothing you can do other than to make sure the spindle is running true.

Just re-read your post, you say the deck is attached correctly, but have you leveled it by the book? If not get on a good concrete surface and have at it. I level all mine to the blades using one of those plastic blade height measuring gizmos. I live surrounded by a bunch of HIGH DOLLAR Deeres, so I can't afford to have a ugly yard.

Get one of these and as the others have said check the blades. I think those use the cheap decks that bend easy where the spindle mounts. I had one of those on a GT3100 and bent the deck trying to get a blade off.

I dropped the deck and cleaned it again. It was loaded up with mulch. I had to put on a different set of blade for the bagger for fall mowing. Next year I'm going to mow without the mulching plug because it seems to be a problem.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
