Default Found a 804 RER for my son!

Just got this nice 804. Runs really well after fresh gas and a carb cleaning.
Should bring him many years of good service!
$50 on craigslist. Would have paid him more but he could not get it running.
I found the speed in which the blades run on this thing to be amazing.. Cuts really well.

there is one of those on our local CL that claims to need a new engine, same price as you paid, has 8hp Briggs on it, looks pretty clean otherwise,
I have a 13hp OHV Tecumseh sitting here collecting dust.... wonder if itll fit? I think that the valve cover will be the interference point with the OHV deal, and all....

They do cut well. The blades make a unique sound don’t they? They really get with it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
