Default Dealer decals

I think I saw this on another Cadet sight once. How about a section with close-up photos of dealer decals? Doesn't have to be just the ones that IH seemed to ordain (only dealer info varied). Would be interesting to see how many machines from particular dealerships survived. I only have 2 Cadets that have decals, and neither is the IH style. I can get photos of each, anyone here willing to submit theirs? How about it Roland?

John,

I have several... I will have to snap a few shots and send them in.. Sounds interesting.. I'd like to see how many different ones we could come up with.

I've had a few Cub's over the year's that have had dealer decals on them but i don't think any of my current tractors have them. The 1811 i had a while back had a decal for the dealer that was about a mile from my parent's.

Just go ahead and start it in "General Talk". I'm sure others will join in and then we can ask Roland to tag it as a 'sticky'.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
