Thanks for all the tips guys. Anyone have a pic of where and what type of solenoid they used on the GP’s?. And does adding that extreme axel support bracket make that big a difference? Just like some opinions.
This is my first smaller GT. I really like it. It’d be an unbelievable tractor with 4x4!! |

The support braces/brackets make a HUGE difference.. before I added them you could feel the chassis twisting in the tunnel area when you went over uneven ground.. My factory brackets were in place and the rear mounts were tight and not broken but it still flexed a lot.. the extreme braces work wonders.. doesn't even feel like the same tractor.. I would highly recommend them..

Got the 1782 running nicely. New exhaust manifold, glow plugs and a full service(tranny fluid looked like tapioca pudding) has it running smooth. I bought a new solenoid, but it will not draw back. It will hold like the old one, but will not pull it back. I got it off eBay. Other than that, it’s been a fun project. Got some new chains and it pulls my wagon really well 1k lbs. I’ll get some new pics up.
