Cub 1020 with BS 10hp
Ive got a cub 1020 with B&S 10hp Engine.
Does anyone have one of these? I think im missing some springs on my governer. Would like to see some pics of it. Ive seen exploded diagrams but they dont show where the springs connect. It would be #38 in this diagram i think. https://www.partstree.com/parts/cub-...207400/engine/

#38 in that diagram is the governor spring. It connects to the governor arm, and the lever that the throttle cable attaches to. If it was missing, the engine would only idle. There is another spring (#44) on the throttle control link that runs from the governor arm to the carb. That spring functions as a buffer spring for low RPM, such as idle, or just above idle speeds.
What makes you think you are missing a spring?
