Interesting..I never knew! I would put an IH emblem there, but the "correct police" would have me in shackles..lol

Thanks for the info

Did you buy it new? That's the first time I've ever seen one of that series with a grille emblem. It's possible a few very early ones after the decal change still got the emblem, but it doesn't appear in any sales lit, and every one I have owned did not have one.

I should have said the LATE 1210 should not have it, as in 1987-1989. The 1210 was in two different series of tractors. The earlier ones (1986) would have had the emblem, along with the 1711, 1712, EARLY 1512, 1912, 1914, etc.

The 1810,1811, 1872, 2072, and other tractors in that series would not have had them. Basically, if the hood decal looks like Sam Mac's picture, it should not have the emblem. If the hood decals look like the tractor in my avatar, it should have the emblem.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
