CADplans got me thinking about my hard cider with his apple pie talk.
So, CADplans got me thinking about apple season. Who else here makes hard apple cider? I run 3 different variations yielding about 10 gallons of each. I also make an applejack if anyone here knows what that is. I make some other stuff as well but not sure if I am allowed to discuss that here
For now maybe we can talk about non distilled stuff

WOW.. no one making hard cider in this group..Im sorta shocked. Really one of the simplest things to make especially if you have apple trees or orchard near by.. And delicious on a cold day warmed up with a cinnamon stick!

Friends used to make Loony Juice. Last of the maple sap boil went in a barrel. Add hops and yeast and wait. Drain a gallon, freeze, drink what doesn't freeze Yummy. I have a fruit brandy recipe. 35 days kinda sweet, uses white raisins. Their relative had a great apple jack, used white raisins too. Those white raisins are good recycled also. Mike

coop,
Any way you can email me? I'd love to pick your brain some more on this applejack. As long as it's permitted, I'd be happy to discuss on it here, but if it's not, please email me. I'd love to have the recipe.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
