I saw a similar post on the "Cub Cadet Fever" Facebook page.
Patience is a virtue. Save your money, look for deals, and don't hesitate to ask others what they think or that deal will be gone before you know it. In the meantime, finish the projects you have. You are in PA too. There are plenty of good deals out there, again, just be patient. That's my 2 cents.

Kids got more stories than a band of gypsies. 982 was the best one to date.

Let me share some wisdom gained over 50 plus years of collecting. You need to focus and complete a project. It's ok to dream, but going six different directions usually ends up with empty pockets and a yard full of derelict projects. You'll have more fun if the barn has a couple of finished tractors ready to ride whenever you feel like it.

Ah, the wisdom of the elders, heed their knowledge, as for me I buy buy buy, many projects still need attention but your youth is what you have the best.

Just a tad different with Lew, he buys, buys, buys because he knows value and has made a business of buying and selling, and he's very good at it..

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
