Cub-a-rama ?
Anyone been to or know about Cub-a-rama in Fredericktown, MO. in the fall? Thinking of going and looking for information about it. Their web site talks about there being over 200 Cub's and Cub Cadet tractors with lots of activities and a swap meet. I want to get a motel room soon, and it is a 6 1/2 hour drive for me if I am going!

Held the last full weekend in September. Open to all Farmall and International Cubs, Cub Cadets and IH in general. The only strictly IH show in Missouri. Last show celebrated their 17th year.
I've been as a spectator. Good show. There's usually a good tractor shop-n-swap with all sort of parts for Cubs. They have a Facebook page located here: https://www.facebook.com/cubaramatractorshow/ As far as motels, stay in Farmington. There's only one motel in Fredericktown and it's not a good experience. You probably have plenty of time to make a reservation, since the show isn't for another 9+ months. The show has been attracting fewer people in recent years, but they're trying to get the word out for new people to come and participate. Definitely worth attending. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
