Default Original 72 IH Cub 149

I have an all original IH Cub 149 hydro-static tractor. Always n dry. Starts, runs good everything works as it should. 50” mowing deck. Hydraulic deck lift. 14 hp Kohler. Original tires. Also have small IH pull behind dump trailer. Gate raises up and down. lol surface rust. No holes. Will probably sell but have no idea of worth, if someone could help me out, I appreciate it.

Nice 149 and #2 cart. I would say $550 for the pair realistically. Looks like the 149 has lights too? Nice original tractor with original seat too

Nope, not a 50" deck if it is the one in the pix, your ruler is rubber.
The items your friend replaced are just standard consumable items, not value added.
Items like a powered lift,or 3 point , rototiller, front blade, snow thrower wheel weights are value added items
No offence just the way it is.
FWIW, Deck size is measured by width of cut, not overall size, or guesstimate.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
