New from Chester County PA
Hey Guys, My name is Chris Biddle and im a proud owner of a Cub Cadet I -1046. I bought it as a left over last october for a great price. I have about 20 hours on it but had some problems with it. Thier were alot of thing out of adjustment on it IE: parking brake, hydrostatic pedal that made it not run very well. I took it to the local Cub dealer and they were able to fix everything (under warrenty of course) So im hoping that was just a fluke and we will be good to go. It does run great and the zero turn is AWSOME! I did hear that the brand new cubs arnt quite built as good as the old ones. But I guess that with anything these days. Cant wait to start posting more stuff. Take care

Welcome to the forum. I am an old man from an old school with old tractors so I won't be of any help to you. But at least you got yourself a Cub Cadet. Maybe some "Old" will wear off onto you if you read all the postings. Have fun Cubbing.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
