Oil Lines ....... re-do
So one of the special factory bent aluminum oil lines from the engine had been bent , then un-bent and had a kink , that coupled with both hoses seeping oil.
Here is my solution ..... some COMMON fittings crimped up a couple hoses . As an added bonus it does not appear that they will rub on the side cover as they did previously. |

I just eliminate the hoses and mount the filter on the engine.
Also, ( in case you didn't know) that the out flow from the engine goes to the outside diameter of the filter not the inside/center of the filter. |

Since the Oil Pressure is less than 50 PSIG, I used Copper Tubing and Fuel Injector Rubber Hose. It's all been good for the last 6 years.

Yes the picture you showed in post #4 is correct but what cannot be seen behind the shroud is the aluminum tubes have bends that cross each other. The top oil line at the shroud connects to the bottom fitting on the engine block. The bottom oil line at the shroud connects to the top fitting on the engine block. That is the way my 1810 is connected. So on my 1810 the bottom oil line at the block leaves the engine shroud at the top hole and connects to the A(outer)port on the oil filter housing. The top oil line at the engine block leaves the shroud at the bottom hole and connects to the B(center) port on the oil filter housing. Since your setup eliminates the engine shroud holes, the bottom engine block hose should connect to the A(outer)port on the oil filter and the top engine block hose should connect to the B(center) port on the oil filter housing.

And the routing is because there is more filter surface area on the O.D. of the oil filter than the I.d. of the filter. But to muddy the waters, not all filters are plumbed that way for various reasons. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
