Default 95 Electric

I purchased this 95 electric last fall amd intend to restore it this year (hopefully or maybe wishful thinking) and am looking for some more information. Production numbers/years, parts sources, other helpful threads.

TIA

The model 95 RER was made only for two years. They were made in 1974 & 1975.

If Cub Cadet does not have the parts, Salvage Yards and the Internet are your choices.

Any sources for repop decals at all. Maple Hunter does not seem interested in making them.

That is going to be tough to find.

Looks like me, a friend, and Scott Urschel are going to have the decals reproduced. My friend is maling his near perfect set to Scott so he can get working on that.

Congrats on the purchase, really looking forward to following the build. I hope to find a 95 of my own some day.

Scott is great to do business with. In fact, he had one of those 95 Electrics for sale a while back, unless that is already the one he had for sale and you got it?
He's got some really neat stuff, so he would be your fella to see.

Looks like you have a fun project there!! Should be a true lol (labor of love).

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
