I can tell you this and I was surprised by this/ maybe the parts guy at my local Case/IH doesn't know what he's talking about? It definitely don't sound right.
I have a 1250 here with a hard crumbled drive belt. I have enuf left of it that I was able to read the numbers from it, it is a 59971c1. this is a 44" deck, don't know what variant, that part of the tag is too corroded to read. I called around for a belt, I had converted its IH PN to a "common sized" belt, and called around to see who might have one. I wound up reluctantly at the stealership. Surprisingly the price he saw in the system was cheap enuf, but didn't have one. I asked for 3 because the guy has a pair of 1200s that will take the same belt. He has 1 in his normal warehouse, and only 2 more showing up in their system in the whole US, weird. I asked him for all 3. that's after calling a Motion Industries location and asking for it by its specs, hoping for a Gates green L&G belt. This guy said that gates doesn't make a belt that long in a 3/8" wide variant...… I see a bunch of aftermarket variants online that came up when I googled the PN listed above, but I have never heard of this D&D company..... seems like that is who makes (or at least markets) the aftermarket version.... there is 1, new OEM belt on EPay for just a bit over 4x what this local stealership quoted me..... |

Well then like I'd said maybe the Parts guy who I talked to don't know what he's talking about. I called and asked him to check stock on that number. . He said 1 available in Tennessee warehouse, and 2 in a warehouse in Texas. And that was all in the whole USA. $9. Something each. Since the owner of the tractor I'm working on has 3 machines that takes the same deck drive belt I told him to get me all 3. I saw 1 on feebay, for $43 with"free shipping". Im gonna do all that I can to hold the parts guy to his word on the price that he quoted me. If he won't sell it to me for that money I'm gonna take 1 and leave the other 2 behind.

Here it is, just pulled it up.
Cub cadet belts are not cheap, nor are they the run of the mill farm store belt either. https://www.cubcadet.com/equipment/A...b-0e10e48fad9a |

Ok just got off the phone with the stealer where I ordered my belts from, got someone different than who I talked to the other day.
Seems like the kid who I talked to the 1st time put it in the computer wrong. In their system they have to add the prefix IH before the PN. They actually have what I'm needing in stock, " fresh supply" the ones that I have ordered aren't in yet, but today's contact thinks they are old old old stock, and going by that, if I did get those that they won't last long. Current stock is $37, got my son going to pick it up for me so I can get this one outta here, but seeing as how the owner of the machine tends to be tough on belts anyways if those others come in I'd still take those. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
