This is exactly why I recommend StarTron gas treatment
A friend of mine recommended StarTron to me after he retired to FL and took a job at West Marine. I've used it for at least 15 years now.
I have two 1968 Cub Cadet 125's. One is set up for grass duty and the other for snow duty. One is parked in front of the other depending on the season. late fall and early spring is "switching time". Today they swapped spots. I started the grass 125 and pulled it out. I turned on the gas for the snow 125, unplugged the battery tender jr ( they both are on year round) and it fired right off It's been that way for years, never a problem with that crap they call gas now since every single gas can has StarTron in it. Yep, me too Jeff. I had 3 year old gas in my Harley with Star Tron. I drained it and dumped it into my 3205 and it ran fine. That is all I use now.

I too use StarTron. I also put it in every single gas can each time I fill it even for my mixed gas. I’ve done this now for going on 10 years and have yet to have an issue. Jeff, glad you also mentioned the battery tender junior. I have 6 of them that are in use more than not and have never had a no start issue due to a battery. I’ve heard people say it’s not good to leave a battery tender on for long periods...I beg to differ!

I would only leave a "real" Battery Tender brand hooked up 24/7/365.
I purchased a pair of them off ebay for just over $30 quite a few years ago and they've paid for themselves many times over with better battery life. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
