i made my own rod...ended up making 2 the one that worked best has the 90* bends 180* from each other at 28.5" . i found with both bends in the same direction the rod flexed quite a bit actually. with them opposite each other the rod is slightly touching the mounting bracket to the blower keeping it from flexing. im also running a back blade. and Jeff using your sleeve hitch adapter its been working great thanks alot man!! i keep the thrower 2 inches ish off the ground due to gravel drive then have the back blader just kissing the surface to clean what the thrower leaves....well this is in theroy we have yet to have snow of any accumulation. go figure im finally ready to keep my 1?4 mile long drive clean and its been in the 50s in north east Ohio all winter it seems.

What back blade is that? Great looking setup. I inherited a 149 that’s now at my local small engine mechanic for some extensive engine work. Smoked so bad I had to shower after every use! I’d love to set it up like yours for clearing snow.

I purchased a cat 1 back blade off marketplace or let go, cant remember which. then I cut the 3 point bracket off and fabbed up this set-up using hitch receiver tubing. it works great.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
