that link is for the reseal kit yes? i was referring to the spring kit that you should get in conjunction with the seals.

Oh, that is true. I misunderstood... I'm sure someone will have that info. I don't, I didn't replace the springs.

just the info i was looking for. I will hopefully be pulling it apart to do in the next month or so before winter sets it. really dont need it to start leaking while im blowing snow.

Just rebuilt the column in my 1872. hoping to have it back in the tractor this coming week. those springs truly are a PITA. was able to get it all back together without loosing any. now to see if its sealed and works.

I have not done that kind of repair yet, but when I rebuild the fuel pumps in a 582, those little springs in the kit can be a PITA. I slip a piece of thin cardboard over the pump assembly that holds the diaphragm and springs, then pull it out when the two parts are mated together.
