Nice looking O! I had a creeper for mine but just couldn't bring myself to drill the hole for the shifter. I would keep that in mind but then again its your tractor. Glad you got it running easily!

Thanks guys, My son stopped and looked at it yesterday and I told him to take it for a spin. He came back with a grin on his face and thought I got a good deal. I know that there is no way I could restore one for what I have in this one. Tomorrow I am going to pick up a creeper and possibly a rear lift.

Nice find on the O, I would not cut a hole in the frame either, but you do what you want to your tractor.

Well you know me, I am not afraid to modify anything. Since the tractor has been repainted it is not stock anymore so I have no problem with cutting the hole for the creeper. I made a template from a frame that had a creeper installed so I can do it right. Yesterday I picked up a creeper, a rear lift assy, and a set of head and tail lights along with the correct switch. The only other thing I would consider is a hyd lift. Thanks guys for the support. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
