Default update

ok well got her all cleaned up and tucked in the shop, put fresh gas in it, installed the large 12v battery with new cables, closed the lid turned the key, pushed the starter button and POW SPARKS EVERYWHERE AFTER IT WAS RUNNING,

the dang hood brace closed right across both termianls melted the neg wire fast before I could shut it off and get hood raisded

then carb gasket was dry as a bone and pouring gas out, SOOOO ordered the correct battery ends and gaskets this week motor fired right up ran great, cant wait to get it mowing.... installed the Briley hitch

I was just wondering when we'd get to see some pictures.

That looks GREAT... I love that tractor. It really looks good and I'm glad it found a good home.

There's not much room for batteries in any cub. They just ...barely fit. Glad you didn't roach anything badly....a battery cable is a cheap fix!

I plan on getting her ready, lights hooked up and will not restore, I figured she earned her rust...… will be washed after every cut then parked inside...

Looks great (but sideways!) :-)

I'm impressed you have that much green grass!

I really enjoy mowing with my Cubs

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
