Cub 2284 Value
Hey guys,
Hoping you can help me out with narrowing down a value range on a machine i picked up recently. I grabbed it knowing it was a great deal and its proved to be a very nice machine. Its just not something I need. Its a Cub 2284 with approximately 800 hours on it. It has the 60" deck under it and runs/drives/cuts great. No other issues that i am aware of. I usually value my sale items based on market value, but i cant seem to find anything comparable out there. Could you guys help me out? If interested, shoot me a private message.  Several things affect the value of a cub cadet, including location, condition, rarity, demand, "extras" that come with it, what engine is in it, just to name a few. The deck is a nice deck, but from the driver's LHS, it looks like it hit something pretty hard that either creased the deck or cracked the deck as I see it is dented in and a line has formed (crack or crease). It is a nice cub cadet and without knowing what engine is in it, I see cubs like that sell in my area from anywhere from $600-$1800. I would put a value of that somewhere in the neighborhood of $1200-$1500 in my location. I just bought one (without the fender flares, with fewer hours (around 500-600), but with an IH 50" deck that wasn't in the greatest shape but functional for $600 last spring.You can always put it for sale in the "For Sale" section of this forum. Be sure to read over all of the policies (like contact information, location, whether you are willing to deliver within a certain radius, etc) before listing. Also, you have a good cub cadet there. In your location, you could put a blade on the front of it for about $500 and have a great snow plowing machine! Cub Cadet 123
