Remove starter
Cub cadet 2182 MFG A193G2 model 143-743-100 How do you remove starter from this tractor

Chances are you will need to remove the motor mount plate on the starter side to allow for the starter to come out. Also the motor mount plate will hit the ears on the starter. Loosen up the bolts or even remove them to allow clearance.

Thanks for reply,have removed motor mounts still not enough clearance to remove starter. Any other ideas would very much appreciate.

You have 2 options, both are a PITA
1: Pull the engine out of the tractor then remove the motor mounts 2: Cut part of the ring away that surrounds the nose of the starter ask me how I know.

Thanks for information,pretty crazy have to pull engine to get starter out but do not see another way around
