Default AgriFab box scraper

FYI, right now TSC Tractor Supply has a AgriFab 42 in sleeve hitch box scraper on sale @ $50.00 off. $179.99. Can only order on line to ship to store with free shopping. I ordered one this morning as the winter and wet spring has really rutted it up. I am going to add a rear outrigger with caster wheels to get better leveling. Thought some might be interested.

I kinda thought that when I first seen it but I will be adding lift arms to use it on my Cat 0 so no issue. I figured that for $179.99 it was a good start on building what I want. I am kinda thinking about adding adjustable arms out the back with castors on them for better leveling. Right now my long driveway is like a washboard. I just received a notice that it was shipped so I hope to see it soon. I will let you know what the sleeve hitch looks like.

I have this one, or maybe mine is a Craftsman, but I think it is Agrifab. Got it free in a deal when I bought a cub. Put it in the garage and never used it yet. Seems strong enough for light or medium duty.

I got the box scraper yesterday and got it assembled. It is not a real heavy duty unit by any means. I gave it a brief tryout this morning and where the stone is not hard packed it seems to work well. When I got to the hard pack part of the driveway it just wanted to skate on top. I ran out of time to mess with it but I think if I adjust my top link I can make it better. I may try adding some weight to it also.

It works ok for what I am using it for. I had trouble with the swivel adjustment pin so I bolted it solid. It does require weight if using it on a hard packed driveway. My plans for it are to add an extension to the back with castor wheels so it will bridge potholes and low spots and drag loose stone into them.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
