Default 2182 model solid except some wiring....

There's really nothing bad about the 2182 except sporadic electrical problems in my experience. I've had to replace some wires and the brake safety switch along with the bracket that pushes the switch itself, but my machine has 1283 hours, not 83! 83 hours is basically brand new. Cherish that thing and it will last you 40 years. Just so we can all be jealous... how much did you pay?

Well, I paid 3200 for the tractor with a 60 haban deck, then sold that deck for a brand new 48' deck i found new in the crate. So by the time I bought and sold and tune it all up I have about 4 into it. I think maybe it was a little much. I believe the tractor has a little more then the 83 hrs I think the seller mislead me a little

I’d wonder if the clock has been replaced or if it was unplugged. How about posting some pics?

As far as replacing the Haban not sure I would bother, the Haban is probably the best deck they ever made. If it is one of the newer style it will have the wheels that pivot so it’s not hard to get it out from under the tractor. Plus with the big deck you will find it easier to cut close to obstructions. That said it’s your tractor.

Anyway congrats on Super. I love my 2182.

Hello Steve, Welcome to Only Cub Cadets. The 2182 owner has not been on here since 2013 so you it is probably safe to say that you will never get an answer. Do you own a 2182? Start a thread in the CCC/MTD Cub Cadet built tractors and tell us about it and do not forget the pictures.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
