Unhappy Hi I am a new member

I picked up a International 127 Cub Cadet a few years back. It is not pretty but it had a garden tiller on it and it connected to a PTO. I have used in in the past however the belt broke and I thought I had gotten all the pieces but apparently not. My son went to the flea market and brought one home but never tried it. I tried it and it was way to small. I have returned and purchase 7-8 belts since and cannot seem to figure out what the exact size is that I need. I looked at the pulleys. It has one in the front and each side goes down to another pulley (2 total) and then it goes back to another pulley at the rear of the machine. This belt allows me to go forward and reverse but it also runs the PTO which makes the tiller tines rotate.
The belt that seemed to fit best was 145 inches- very little strain to put it on however it allowed the machine to drive forward and reverse but wasn't strong enough to engage and turn the tiller like it had previously done. I went back and got another belt today from rural king -It was 144 inches and there is no way that belt is going on It is a Raptor SD and the package says 54 inch on one side and 144 inch and 365.8 cm on the other side and it says its suppose to be a deck belt. (# 604817R) I have to be missing something in translation. Just what is the correct name of this type of belt? Am I looking in the wrong place for a belt that large It looks like a 1/2" fits the pulleys perfectly and yest they probably are the original pulleys and do have wear tear and rust- I have also tried the belts that are 5/8th(sits higher) in a bunch of different sizes and they do not work either. I am trying so hard to get this up and running for an hour just to till so I can put in a garden again this year. I am frustrated that I have not been able to get this task done so I thought maybe someone out there might be able to head me in a better direction than I am going in. It appears that if the belt measured 144.14/16th it might work I don't know if I could go down to 144.75 as it may be too tight to get on. I watched a video that showed me how to release the spring on the side to let the plate in the front move forward and backward to "Hole the belt" in place and for ease of installation but still I cannot get it correct. Anybody out there have any thoughts or ideas-I surely would appreciate any schooling I can get. thanks so much for reading my post.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
