Default New Member Needs Deck Assembly

Need advice on where to buy a new deck assembly for my 2012 GTX 2000 garden tractor. My original deck is coming apart, and I'd prefer to buy a complete assembly, ready to drive on and mow.

The deck I have is 42 inch, Deck Number 19A40012. Mower is model number 14W-3FM-010. I'll have to change a yard gate if I get a wider deck, but would be interested in knowing the other Deck Numbers (wider decks) that will fit my mower without any issues. I'd also consider a more narrow deck.

It seems the new parts houses are very difficult to reach these days. I'd be interested in a really good, used deck if there's one available.

Thanks so much. I won't make it much longer with this original deck!

Roland, just to let you know I spoke with Rob Houtz today by phone and he does not have any decks that would fit my needs. I've sent Patton an email, and hope that I hear something from him next week.

Thanks again for your help, and let me know if any other ideas come to mind. I'm pushing 70 years old and it's just me running a small cattle ranch, so I'm simply not prepared to try to change parts over to a new deck shell. I'm sure there's something out there that will work for me, and will continue the hunt! Aloha, Robert

Just a quick note to thank everyone for their help in my search for a new mower deck. I bought one yesterday from a dealer in Indiana, and got an NOS deck that was fully dressed (not just a shell). I posted my experience in a note to Roland Bedell in the regular forum section. Bottom line is it helped to find another Cub Cadet mower series that used the same deck, and then simply get on the phone and call dealers throughout the country. I think I found the deck on the third phone call! Thanks again to OnlyCubCadets. Robert

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
