LX46 EFI Throttle Issues
Afternoon everyone:
Hoping to get some help here. I have had this lawn mower for about 2 years now and having my first major problem. About 2 weeks ago after starting up I went to throttle up and no response. I turned the mower off and restarted and it seemed ok. The other day it did the same thing except this time no response, just staying at low throttle. At first I thought maybe my throttle cable was binding or rusted so I took it off, sprayed some WD40 down it and it seems to be ok. For whatever reason it seems as though what part the throttle cable pushes to increase rpm's is having a lot of resistance. I'm not sure if because its an EFI engine. There is something electronic that assists the throttle when pushing the throttle lever up but I don't see how even with me manually trying to push the lever at the engine level it needs that much force to go up. Any thoughts or suggestions please? I really don't think its the throttle cable at this point but something engine or possibly electrical related. Thanks for any ideas or suggestions. My local Cub dealer has closed so in order for me to have a dealer or someone take a look at it I would need to take it over an hour away. I was hoping, by me not buying from a big box store and trying to get a little better mower I wouldn't have an issue like this within the first 5 years or so, but I guess here I am.

Does yours have the Kohler or Kawasaki engine?

Look at the end of the cable nearest the dash. Pretty common for the cable tp pull off the bracket. New cable is like $30.
I've gotten a few back together with pliers. Might have to remove the gas tank for better access.
