I think I will leave this as is for now spndncash. I've gone over and over all these parts. Something is causing the adjustment difference between the left and right side for sure. It's now about one jam nut in length instead of the 1" it previously was. When I originally took the brake calipers off, I noticed that the previous owner had added extra washers and nuts on the brake rods to use as spacers past the threaded section and before the cross shaft. That owner was obviously trying to get extra life out of the brake pads by squeezing the brake assemblies past their limits. I didn't give it much thought at the time, but now I'm thinking that compounded this mess. Anyway, I need to move onto the steering and clutch assemblies to get progress in. It won't be that long before the leaves start changing.
