I assumed the "stamped key" was the standard issue for all Cub Cadets. IH did use a notched Key IH-131313-C2 Key up until the Quietlines.

The key that came with 125 I purchased actually looks like the one
in this thread but doesn't actually work. The one out of a 90,s something
or other MTD that I pretty much beat to death fits and starts the 125 just
fine. I am like you Roland, I have learned today. I'm just not sure what it is
I have learned.
