Default Cub Cadet 7000 Series Tractor Starting issues.
My Cub Cadet has been handed down from relatives of mine. As I understand it, it has always been a challenge to start it.
I let the glow plug turn red.
And I turn the ignition key repeatedly until it finally starts, if it starts. The clicking you hear is as I turn the ignition key to start repeatedly.
Sometimes I try to start it for about 10mins. I leave it and come back after an hour, and magically it will just start, other times it will start after about 10 ignition turns.

The battery is on a trickle charge so I think I have enough battery.

Sounds like a bad Starter Solenoid to me.

Since it has a history of being chronic it may be suffering from the same disease that affects the Super Cubs. Read here for some insight...

My 882 has an issue like that.
I believe it's a misadjusted safety relay for when I move the brake just a bit it will crank
